Installation of Galv steel channel and grate
Let us introduce you to a helpful selection of stormwater collection options including sumps (or pits), channel and grate and fibreglass grating. Square or round, aluminium or PVC, lids or grates, we have all the choices you’ll need.
Our standard rainwater pits come in two sizes and are injection moulded from UV resistant polymer. Featuring galvanised steel or aluminium grates to suit, they are strong and durable. These pits are also light and easy to install and serve as a collection point for your channel system.
250 x 285mm deep, 350 x 315mm deep
We also stock large capacity stormwater pits moulded from 100% recycled quality polyethylene. These are extra strong and still light to handle. These comply with the NZ Building Code 15-year durability requirements if installed to specification. Fast to install, they come with a fabricated galvanised steel Webforge grate.
350mm x 600mm deep, 470mm x 1030mm deep
Our Eurosump range is an ideal drainage solution for your concrete driveway as they are robust and come in a natural concrete colour. Sourced from Europe, they are made from a sturdy polypropylene. They come in four sizes and can be paired with either a lid or a grate.
200 x 200mm, 300 x x300mm, 400 x 400mm, 550 x 520mm
Sump pipes come in four different sizes and are made from heavywall PVC stormwater pipe. Made in 1000mm lengths they are strong and durable yet still light and easy to handle.
200mm, 250mm, 315mm, 400mm
Our channel and grate systems are ideal for domestic use. A drainage system with a class A15 rating, they will take loads of up to 1.5 tonne and come in 1 metre lengths. Simply clip them together via an integral tongue and groove moulded into the ends. No joiners needed.
Available in both steel and PE-HD materials. The PE-HD channel incorporates a self-flocking system which positively ties the sides together across the top and automatically locks the grates in place.
Fibreglass grating is a superior product to conventional steel grating due to its corrosion resistance. More cost competitive than conventional steel grating systems the grating operates at a wide temperature range from -50°C to 90°C.
The grating has a wide range of features including anti-slip, lightweight, strong, corrosion and fire resistant, non-magnetic, non-conductive, non-sparking and easy to cut and install.
Fibreglass grating comes with two stainless steel fixing systems - M and C clips.
The M clip looks like a lower case “m” with a web in the middle that has a stainless bolt down through it. It spans two ribs and you position it above a support member and bolt it down to that member.
The C clip is designed to clip two sheets together mid-span between support members so you don’t have to join on a support. i.e. you cantilever the sheets over the supports and clip them where the two edges butt together. This method is particularly useful where you have very narrow supports that would be difficult to butt two sheets together on.
Use the grating system on catwalks, wash-down areas, freezing works, sheep yards, wineries, food processing, substations, electrical, sump grates, fish processing and fishing trawlers.
Also featured are filter cloths, filter socks and a variety of tapes. Top quality epoxy mortar and bags of premium absorbent rags will help you finish the project in the tidiest, cleanest way possible.
